The “DREAM” continues to live on at the Memorial Arena.
The Dryden Recreation Extension and Modification Committee has received a $4,100 donation from the Kinsmen Club.
The money comes from the Kinsmen’s involvement at the ‘We Love Dryden’ Arena Dance last weekend.
Committee Co-Chair Marnie Oliphant says they are grateful for the on-going support from the Kinsmen and all groups, businesses and individuals in the community.
Oliphant says the funding will support the renovation of two dressing rooms, the installation of new flooring in the lobby and bathrooms as well as digital dressing room boards.
She stresses facility users will notice a number of upgrades when things get going in September.
Kinsmen spokesperson Brad Coles says they are proud to support DREAM.
Coles says the arena is a facility that gets used a lot for people in the community and they just need to help out to ensure operations continue.
The next event for DREAM is the 2nd Annual Best Ball Golf Tournament on July 20th.
The Kinsmen will be organizing the 15th Annual Dragon Boat Races on Canada Day.
