Input is now being accepted on the Goliath Gold Project in the Wabigoon area.
The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency is inviting the public and Indigenous groups to comment on the draft Environmental Assessment Report, which includes the Agency’s conclusions and recommendations regarding the potential environmental effects of the project.
The Agency has concluded that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects, taking into account the implementation of key mitigation measures.
The venture has already benefited from several public and First Nations consultations and this is the final public comment period in the process. All comments must be received by July 12th.
Treasury Metals is hoping to have all the permits and approvals in place in late 2019, with mine development starting in early 2020.
