Changes are coming to the delivery of child care in the City of Dryden.
The Kenora District Services Board will take over responsibly of programming starting on January 1st.
The KDSB will run the Dryden EarlyON Child and Family Centre, St. Joseph’s Best Start, K.P. Best Start and Open Roads Best Start.
Dryden Chief Administrative Officer Roger Nesbitt stresses the City is confident the transition will allow children and their families to continue receiving quality and efficient child care.
KDSB Chief Administrative Officer Henry Wall says there will be no visible changes to services children and families are accustomed to and their operating model will focus on child care enhancements and increasing spaces in the City of Dryden.
Wall says they look forward to welcoming the child care workers to the KDSB.
Both sides state the transfer will strengthen services and have no impact on anyone who is currently utilizing the services.
