The forest fire hazard is now high to extreme in the Red Lake and Kenora district and moderate throughout the remainder of the region.
There are six active fires burning, two considered out of control.
A 6,803 hectare blaze burning northeast of Trout Lake is not under control and additional crews have joined the fight for a total 21.
The Ministry of Natural Resources has a hold on two high profile fires near Pikangikum and Pickle Lake and no additional problems are anticipated.
The public is urged to use extreme caution as a warm weekend is in the forecast.
