Two major road improvement projects are about to get underway in Dryden.
The Duke Street Overpass will be closed starting at 7:00am today. (Monday)
The overpass will be off-limits until Saturday at the latest.
Union Gas is continuing work in the Colonization Avenue/Duke Street intersection to complete repairs from a previous gas leak.
Meantime, the final phase of the rehabilitation of Thunder Lake Road will start at 8:00am.
Public Works is removing the existing surface, conducting drainage improvements and re-surfacing the road.
The work will be carried out over the next few weeks.
Motorists can expect delays and nearby residents may experience increased amounts of dust, noise and other inconveniences.
In both cases, you are asked to slow down and watch for signs of construction including loose gravel, work crews and safety tools.
