The Red Lake Miners rebuild will go on without their top player.
The Miners have traded SIJHL MVP Bryce Young to the Aurora Tigers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
The Rookie of the Year found the back of the net 60-times last season, the second most in league history.
Young also added 41-assists for a total of 101 points.
Red Lake receives the playing rights of Nolan Turi in return.
The 20-year-old is from Canton, Michigan and he registered 2-goals and 10-assists in 29-games with the Tigers last season.
The Miners had their best showing in 2018/2019 in franchise history and made it to the Bill Salonen Cup.
However, the team is now facing a number of vacancies, including Head Coach/General Manager Derek Sweet-Coulter.
The Miners lead the SIJHL in University and College commitments for next season with seven players moving on.
