The Manager of the Dryden Food Bank is raising alarm bells over the amount of food that’s wasted in our country.
Al Huckabay made a presentation to Dryden Rotary yesterday (Wednesday), noting they could feed everyone in the country for five months with all of the food that is sent to a landfill site.
Huckabay adds they are looking at obtaining a refrigerated van so they can comply with retailers policies to pick up unsold food.
He went on to thank Dryden Rotary for their on-going support.
Huckabay has taken over as Food Bank Manager from the retired Keith Grant.
