Excitement is starting to build for Dryden’s first Rhythm on the Range.
The outdoor concert is Saturday, August 17th at Anderson’s Homestead Golf Course.
Organizer Rhonda SharpeKlim was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show today (Wednesday) to promote the event.
SharpeKlim says the event is a fundraiser for the Dryden Recreation Extension and Modification Committee.
“We have not only their support in creating something really unique for our area, but we get to help them and help our community and support a great organization that’s going to bring a lot to this community. When we have such a cornerstone with our arena and our facility, it only made sense to unite with a group like this.”
The concert will feature three main acts.
SharpeKlim says Tiller out of Kenora will get the party started with their upbeat classic rock.
Slo-Paw out of Winnipeg will also be on stage.
The band features Dryden’s Mark Merkoski and Joe Jansen.
The headliner is Winnipeg’s Kitchen Party, with local musician Grant Leutschaft.
The day starts with a Best Ball Golf Tournament.
