Thomas (Tom) Nuttall
September 07, 1962 – June 26, 2017
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our dear son, Tom at the age of 54. Tom had battled cancer since 2012 — through remission — and then the cancer returning in November 2016. He fought this cruel disease with all he had only to lose his battle in the ICU in Thunder Bay with his parents at his side. He continued to be his happy, comical self to the end.
Tom is survived by his parents, Craig and Lesley Nuttall of Dryden, Daughters, Catherine (Cory and baby Daemon McAuley – Tom’s 1st grandson) of Ottawa, Sara Nuttall of Wabigoon, Sister Lisa Nuttall of Kamloops, BC, and Suzanne Parenteau of Wabigoon, Mother of his daughters. He is also survived by Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews in Thunder Bay, Kenora, Pinawa, MB, Edmonton, AB, Kamloops, BC and Lorain, Ohio, USA.
Tom loved the janitorial/custodian business and started in the family business (Clean More Service) when he was only 16. He continued in this line of work, first in Dryden and then in Sioux Lookout at a Seniors complex.
Special thanks to Dr. Bruce Cook and the Oncology Department for Tom’s special care. A special thanks to the CCAC ladies who also gave Tom excellent care through his difficult time.
A memorial service will be held for Tom on FRIDAY, JULY 21 at 2 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home with Velma Henderson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made for his girls to Lesley and Craig Nuttall – IN TRUST – for Catherine and Sara at the TD Canada Trust, 30 Princess Street, Dryden, ON, P8N 1C6, or at the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Ave., Dryden, ON, P8N 2X3.
