In Loving memory of Fred William Parenteau, who passed away peacefully at the Dryden Regional Health Center on Monday May 12th, 2014 with his family by his side at the age of 83.
Fred leaves behind his wife of 58 years Minnie Parenteau, 4 children; Alfred (Molly), Judy, Warren, Donna (Ray), 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister Margaret, brother Alex (Betty), and many other close family members and friends. Fred also leaves behind, his best friend (puppy dog) Pisani. He is predeceased by his parents Mary & Alex, brothers Sam, Johnny, sisters Mary Rose, Agnes and Adeline.
Fred lived his life though-out northwestern Ontario in various communities. He was a hard worker. He retired from Warehauser, where he worked for many years.
He loved his family very much and especially loved to tease all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fred’s favorite past time was watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays.
Visitation will be Wednesday May 13th, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Service at the Wabigoon Metis Complex.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday May 15th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wabigoon Metis Complex with a Native Elder officiating.
Interment of ashes will be at a later date.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Dryden Regional Health Centre Room Refurbishing through the Dryden Community Funeral Home
