An economic think-tank is the latest to come out against the provincial government’s decision to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
Charles Lamman with the Fraser Institute says the decision goes against the suggestions of a committee established by the Wynne Government.
Lamman says just 2% of minimum wage earners are single parents with young kids.
He notes the minimum wage increase will mostly benefit youth, who are still living at home.
