Sherwood completed his basic training at Fort William in 1943. He went on to be a fully trained Artillery and Infantry Soldier. He was employed as a Field Gun Number until December of 1944.
He then transferred to Infantry where he remained for the rest of his service.
Sherwood served his country for 38 months of which 13 months were spent overseas in the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany.
He was discharged in March 1946 and returned home to to his Family in Dryden, where remained for the rest of his life.
Sherwood is proudly remembered by his Family.
