1941 – Gladys Clarke from Dryden marries Richard McKinstry in Toronto. Richard was in the RCAF during WW2 Gladys was a sister of Walt and Bill Clarke, daughter of Alice Shapland. After her mother died in child birth, Gladys and her brothers were raised by Llewelyn Evans of Barclay
