An indie pop band from The Maritimes will take the stage on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon next week.
The Juno Award winning group Alvvays (pronounced Always) are set to perform on the show Tuesday at 12:35 a.m. Atlantic Time (11:35 p.m. Eastern).
The group’s singer-songwriter, Molly Rankin, is the daughter of Rankin Family member John Morris.
Other members include Kerri MacLellan on keyboard, Alec O’Hanley on guitar, Abbey Blackwell on bass and Sheridan Riley on drums. Rankin also plays guitar in the band.
Alvvays formed in 2011 before moving to Toronto and are fresh off the release of their third album, Blue Rev, which fully released in October.
In late May they’ll be heading across the pond for a tour in the UK and EU.
