A number of local hockey players helped propel the Kenora Under 18 Thistles to a pair of big wins over the weekend.
Kenora defeated the Winnipeg Wild 7-5 and the Winnipeg Bruins 6-4.
Red Lake’s Ben Norlok had a pair of goals while Justin Gelderland and Tyson Marion each had a pair of assists.
Dryden’s Brandon Gustafson also chipped in with an assist.
It will be a short break for the local kids they return to the ice Wednesday for a match-up in Winnipeg against the Thrashers.
