Community members will get to see first hand the new and improved land ambulance base in Dryden today. (Wednesday)
The Kenora District Services Board is hosting a Northwest EMS meet and greet barbecue from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the new base on 51 Memorial Avenue, the former Moose Hall.
The public is invited out for free hamburgers and hotdogs, tours of the building and a chance to meet paramedic staff.
The state-of-the-art building is a collaborative effort between the KDSB, the City, Dave McKay Construction, Nelson Architecture, and LBE Group.
David Hamilton is the Acting Director/Chief Officer of Emergency Medical Services and says, “KDSB Northwest EMS is pleased to be able to showcase our new ambulance base to the community of Dryden and the surrounding area. We hope that we see many families and individuals come to see the new space and meet our paramedics who provide high-quality emergency and community medical care to our community.”
Chief Administrative Officer Henry Wall says, “We believe this new building will be something the community can be proud of and will help us continue to provide exemplary care to individuals, families, and communities in need of emergency care.”
