A close call for an OPP officer in the Rainy River District.
Provincial Police say the officer was patrolling Highway 11 Wednesday night in Watten Township.
A passing transport cross the center line and the officer swerved to avoid being struck.
However, the side mirror on the cruiser was hit.
The incident resulted in minor damage to the vehicle and the officer was uninjured.
A 40 year old truck driver from Winnipeg has been charged with careless driving and driving to the left of center.
