There’s still about 500 Hydro One customers in the Nestor Falls area that are without electricity this morning.
A severe storm and maybe even a tornado touched down early yesterday morning causing severe damage in the Caliper Lake area.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Greg Rickford says since hearing the report of tornado activity he’s been in constant communication with local leaders and government officials to initiate support.
“We are employing a whole of government approach to ensure community members have the resources
they need,” Rickford says in a statement.
” I want to thank neighbouring communities who have volunteered to support those affected. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.”
