It didn’t take the retiring deputy chief of the Treaty Three Police long to find a new job.
Jeff Skye has been appointed the chief of Anishinabek Police Services.
The announcement was made one day after he retired after eight years with the Treaty Three Police.
Anishinabek Police Services is headquartered in Garden River, near Sault Ste. Marie, and services 19 first nations communities across Ontario, including the Fort William, and Pic Mobert First Nations in northwestern Ontario.
He starts his new job on August 2nd.
Skye is from the Eagle Lake First Nation and has a 29 year career in policing.
