The Dryden Rotary Club has released the names of the 2022 Academic Award winners from this past school year.
At Dryden High School, $1,500 scholarships were given to Landon Larocque and Paige Atwood.
The $1,000 Ambassador Scholarship was awarded to Emma Gardner.
Gardner received the Ambassador award as she was selected as Rotary’s exchange student for 2022/2023 but could not go due to the cancellation of the program.
Five hundred dollar Service Above Self Bursaries went to Barett Edenburn, Ethan Cook, Jaxson Spalding and Landon Larocque.
At Red Lake High School, the $1,000 scholarships went to Kyle Bates and Erica Forsythe.
The $500 Service Above Self Bursaries were awarded to Erica Forsythe and Connor Oster.
For Ignace High School, the Academic Scholarship and Service Above Self Bursary totalling $2,000 went to Wyatt Mantel.
The Academic Scholarships are chosen by the highest graduating grade average, while the Service Above Self bursaries are chosen by the amount of volunteer work each graduate has given to their community or high school.
