Organizers of the Dryden Walleye Masters Tournament have received the go-ahead to proceed with this years event and now more teams and volunteers are needed.
The famous fishing derby is June 18 and 19 on the Wabigoon Chain of Lakes.
Tannis Rostek was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Wednesday.
“Being off for two years. It’s been a struggle to get things back on track but hopefully we’ve got things back to how they should be. But we definitely need volunteers. Any age is what we’re looking for. We use the young kids for runners.”
Rostek adds, “High School students. I’ve been trying to get high school students that need the volunteer hours. I’ve got a couple but we definitely need a lot more.”
Various other positions need to be filled to make the event a success.
Teams are also encouraged to sign-up now and the deadline is right up until the day before the start of the event.
