A tough weekend for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs as they played three games in three days on the road.
The trip started Friday with a date against the SIJHL leading Kam River Fighting Walleye.
Both teams exploded for four goals in the opening frame before things settled down.
The Fighting Walleye ended up taking the contest 6-5.
Maxime Collette collected two goals and two assists, while Jordan Gagnon, Bryce Benfield and Tristan Takats found the back of the net.
Cole Johnston suffered the loss making 35 saves.
It was another tight one Sunday as Kam River outlasted Dryden GM 3-2.
The Ice Dogs jumped out to a 2-0 lead with goals from Brady Frattinger and Tristan Takats before the Fighting Walleye would reel off three unanswered.
Eric Clark stopped 34 shots in the setback.

The Ice Dogs than travelled to Cochenour Sunday to battle a well rested Miners team.
Red Lake took the game 6-3.
Matthieu Belanger potted two, while Elliot Parker, Nic Bolin, Jordan Baranesky and Brandon Rossetti added singles.
Kiev Kineshanko picked up the victory with 30 saves.
Derek Koivisto led the Dryden GM attack with a pair of markers, while Maxime Collette also found the back of the net.
Cole Johnston stopped 32 shots in the loss.
