The Dryden GM Ice Dogs scored three unanswered goals en route to a 5-2 win over Fort Frances yesterday at the Showcase event in Spooner, Wisconsin.
Lang Lee led the way with a pair of goals, while Tristan Takats, Nakoda Thunderchief and Brady Frattinger added singles.
The Ice Dogs outshot the Lakers 57-23.
Meantime, the Red Lake Miners were stunned by the host Lumberjacks 5-1
Despite firing 56 shots on net, the Miners could only manage the one goal courtesy of Ryan Howe.
In the opening game the Kam River Fighting Walleye outlasted the Thunder Bay North Stars 6-4.
The Showcase continues tonight with the Top Prospects game.
