Dryden Regional Health Centre/CKDR Files
The Dryden Regional Health Centre has updated their visitor restrictions in response to low COVID-19 activity and high vaccination rates in the region.
General Visitors will now have to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (14 days past the second dose) and pass the entrance screen.
Visitors are asked to have physical or digital proof of vaccination status upon arrival.
Fully vaccinated visitors will not fail the screen based on travel outside of Canada alone.
Inpatients can have two visitors at a time from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
Essential Visitors for palliative, maternity, Emergency Department and children are allowed in 24 hours a day.
The hospital says essential visitors can be permitted without proof of full vaccination but must still pass the entrance screen.
Essential visitors who have not been fully vaccinated and have travelled outside of Canada will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Patients will not be restricted from accessing services based on vaccination status.
The DRHC says they will continue to monitor the region’s COVID-19 situation for how best to keep vulnerable patients and staff safe.
Any questions about the Visitor Restrictions policy, can be directed to the Nurse Manager by calling 223-8200.
