The City of Dryden is completing emergency repairs to the water distribution system and has shut off water in an area of North Dryden.
Mary Avenue from First Street to Florence Street is now closed to vehicles until 8:00 p.m. tonight in order to make the repairs.
Residents in the West area of Mary Avenue and North of Government Street to Anton Road will have their water shut off until 8:00 p.m.
A Boil Water Advisory will also be in effect for the area west of Mary Avenue and North of Government Street to Anton Road, once repairs are complete and the water is back on.
The City says due to the repairs and upgrades, the safety of the drinking water cannot be guaranteed.
All water from taps should be boiled for at least one minute before consuming.
This includes for:
1. brushing teeth or soaking false teeth
2. washing fruits and vegetables
3. adding to uncooked food or drink
4. ice cubes
5. water for pets
The advisory is in effect until another notice is issued by the City.
