A northern Ontario First Nation is excited about its new partnership with a Canadian mining exploration firm.
Webequie First Nation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Juno Corporation of Canada which both sides tell us is to help “foster economic participation opportunities and advance exploration and potential mining partnerships” in the Ring of Fire mining development.
Chief Cornelius Wabasse calls it an “economic milestone” for community members.
Juno president and COO Jacob McKinnon believes it is the start of a strong and positive relationship with the people of Webequie First Nation and his company.
Webequie is located 527 kilometres north east of Thunder Bay
