The Unifor Local 324 Women’s Committee took time Sunday night to mark the 31st Anniversary of the Montreal massacre.
Members hosted a small vigil and march outside the Unifor Hall in Dryden to remember the lives lost at Montreal’s l’Ecole Polytechnique.
They were joined by about two dozen local community members including representatives from Unifor, the Hoshizaki House and the Dryden Police Service.
It also allowed people to remember the lives of all women injured or killed due to gender-based violence.
The event was also aimed at raising local awareness against violence against women and children.
