Minimal damage and no injuries following an electrical fire at a business in downtown Dryden.
Dryden Fire Service, Chief Rob Grimwood says they received a call from a two story building on Whyte Avenue, where an upstairs massage studio was reporting smoke and a burning odor.
“Crews went in and there was a burning odor and smoke, high levels of carbon monoxide- very distinctive of an electrical fire. We found the electrical fire occurred in an over head light. No flame, produced smoke and carbon monoxide. ”
Grimwood adds they removed the light and isolated power to the building.
Crews are in the process of ventilating back to safe air quality levels.
Eye witnesses say this is at least the second call Dryden Fire Service has responded to today.
