Red Lake fire evacuees can enjoy a discounted movie at the Sunset Drive In Theatre in Dryden tonight.
Co-owner, Cathy Langlais, says the community response to the newly renovated and revived drive in has been outstanding.
Langlais says when they heard about Red Lake fire evacuees staying in Dryden, they knew they wanted to show their support.
“We’ve got 5 dollars a car load for anyone that can show us a drivers license, that they’re from Red Lake. We’re feeling badly for them so we wanted to show them support and let them know that we’re thinking about them.”
Even if they can give people a distraction from their worries just for a few hours, Langlais says they would gladly do so.
Langlais also says the drive in is a great form of entertainment during COVID-19, since you are naturally socially distanced.
The movie playing tonight is a family friendly cartoon, ‘Inside Out.’
