With the provincial government announcing that golf courses can reopen Saturday, some regional courses are getting ready to go.
Eagles Landing in Dryden will open tomorrow with tee times starting at 8:00am.
Golfers will have to book a tee time over the phone and there will be plenty of precautions in place to ensure public safety.
Only one golfer is allowed per golf cart, or two if they are from the same household.
Ball washers and benches will not be used and physical distancing and sanitation will be ongoing.
They will also have special cups on the greens so golfers won’t have to touch the flags.

Anderson’s Homestead Golf Course in Dryden will also open Saturday with tee times starting at 12:00pm.
There will be safety measures in place and physical distancing must be practiced at all times.
Some measures include closing the club house, driving range and putting green.
Signs and sanitizer will in place and multiple riders in a golf cart will have to be from the same household.

The Red Lake Golf Course is still making sure everyone is trained and ready and they plan to reopen on Friday, May 22nd.
Currently officials are making sure they can properly implement all of their safety precautions such as pre-arranged tee times, only 2 golfers in the pro shop at a time, markings on the floors, adjusting the entrance and exit and removing any “touch points” on the course.
They are also implementing special cups on the greens so golfers won’t have to touch the flags.
Officials at the Sioux Lookout Golf and Country Club say they are still preparing for the season and hope to open shortly after the long weekend.
Staff policies and guidelines are being implemented before the course can reopen.
Employees are at the club starting today to sell memberships and answer questions.
Ear Falls Golf Course will also be open tomorrow.
As with the other courses there will be plenty of safety precautions in place and golfers are urged to practice physical distancing.
There is no official word on the status of course in Ignace.
