Get those engines revved up, the Dryden Drag Race Association is set to host its annual Snowmachine Races.
The first of two events is Sunday, January 26th at the Flying Club.
A second race in Dryden will be held in March, with other events scheduled for Red Lake and Ignace.
Organizer Laura Zajarny was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show today (Friday)
Zajarny says racers this year will have a chance to travel and compete for points on a regional circuit.
For the Dryden race, Zajarny says there will be plenty of representation from Manitoba.
“There’s going to be some very big machines that we don’t necessarily see here because Manitoba has their own Drag Race Association and they focus on that. So it will be nice to see some new blood come in.”
Zajarny says the races are open to all age groups, with registration only $20 for each class.
