St. John School in Red Lake is touting the success of their Forest and Nature School Program.
The program involves students exploring the forest next to the school for half of the day on Tuesdays to test their problem-solving skills.
Early Childhood Educator Anna Drystek says the students learn a lot from the experience including learning ways to challenge themselves.
Drystek says the students have also found many ways to learn and have fun in nature as well.
The students had some things to say about the program as well.
Student Hallie Pitura says that she liked learning how to hang like a Koala.
Student Harper Kaezmarek says he liked when he found a wand which was made of wood.
Student Axel Clement says he liked the part where he got wet in the puddle.
The students also say they liked a lot about the Nature Program including the Sharing Time at the end.
