A one time popular restaurant and motel in Dryden has been destroyed in an early morning fire
The Transcanada Motel and Restaurant had been vacant for several years.
Dryden Fire Service were on scene within minutes of being called out at about 3:30. Oxdrift Fire Department was called out shortly afterward.
Interim Dryden Fire Chief Cora McRae described the fire as a “nasty one,” adding a formal press release would be coming later.
Both the restaurant and motel will be total losses.
