With the help of a hat-trick by Bryce Young, the Red Lake Miners end their regular season on a high note as they win against the Fort Frances Lakers 5-3.
It was a quiet and quick first period but that completely changed in the second period with Young putting two tallies on the board ending the second period in a 2-2 tie.
In the third period the Lakers scored one minute back into the action, but the Miners fired back with 3 goals from Morgan Venne, Keegan Tiringer, and the 3rd goal of the game for Bryce Young.
With that hat-trick, Young becomes the second player in SIJHL history to reach the 60 goal mark in a season.
Red Lake outshot the Lakers 36-31
The Miners will get a first round bye in the playoffs as the Fort Frances Lakers will face the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.
