A familiar face is officially in the running to become the next Mayor of Dryden.
Dryden Councillor Roger Valley has filed his nomination papers for the Mayor position.
Valley already has plenty of experience within Dryden municipal politics as he has served as a Councillor and Mayor from 1991 to 2000.
He then entered federal politics from 2004 to 2008 representing the Kenora riding for the Liberal Party.
Valley was then elected back to City Council in 2014.
Meanwhile three residents have filed their papers to run for councillor positions, Jason Owen, Michelle Williams and Darton Dudley-Rennie.
The nomination period ends on July 27th
