A youth expert says children’s play outside has been diminishing as kids are now growing up in a hyper-protective health and safety bubble.
Speaking to local childhood educators, Pierre Harrison says children need to have more control of their lives so they can guide their own activities.
Harrison says when kids are given control to explore, it helps them develop their creativity, problem solving skills and imagination.

Harrison adds it’s important for adults to use their imagination and come up with ways to play with them.
