A big celebration at Open Roads school for all the students to see.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at the school on Friday to open the new Best Start and Open Roads kitchens.
Superintendent of Education Caryl Hron mentions the funding that helped make this a reality which was over $400 000.
Hron also says the help from the Kenora District Services Board was extremely helpful as well.
KDSB CAO Henry Wall says the help from all the community partners helped the process along and mentions they were glad to take part in this initiative.
