The Chief Executive Officer at the Dryden Regional Health Centre has been recognized by the Northwest Local Health Integration Network.
Wade Petranik has received the Distinguished Contribution Award for exceptional leadership and commitment to the health system over the past 20-years.
A humble Petranik says he’s not one for individual awards.
Petranik says the award is a tribute to front-line staff, support staff, the leadership team, medical professionals, volunteers and the board of directors.
He says everyone has worked hard to create a “very innovative and progressive” health care organization.
The LHIN says Petranik was instrumental in establishing a physician recruiter position within the hospital, ensuring the continued availability of medical practitioners in the community.
He’s also being credited for the development of a Dryden Family Health Team.
