A Dryden mother is raising funds to help families dealing with a loss.
Marquee Miller was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Friday and she outlined her plans to raise money for a “Cuddle Cot” for the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
Miller lost her son after she delivered him about two years ago and she says the Cot is an insulated cooling unit that allows families to spend more time with their loved one.
She says the time allows a family to form an important bond with their baby and staying close to their baby as they come to terms with their loss.
Miller notes there are over 1,500 “Cuddle Cots” in use and by having one at the Dryden Hospital they will be improving bereavement services in the community.
The ultimate fundraising goal is $3,500 and for more information reach out to Marquee Miller on Facebook or drop off a donation at CKDR.
