Dryden Council has decided to appoint a community member to fill an open Council seat.
Chief Administrative Officer Ernie Remillard says local businessman Nick Beyak will fill the void for the remainder of the term.
Remillard calls Beyak a great asset from a governance perspective and calls his appointment a great move by Council.
He notes Beyak knows well the inner workings of municipal politics as he briefly served as Interim CAO last Summer.
Remillard stresses Beyak has a strong business background and understands the needs of the community.
He replaces Darryl Skinner who left Council to pursue another opportunity outside Dryden.
