Robert Wayne Currie
In Loving memory of Wayne Currie who passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 9, 2017.
Wayne was born on March 5, 1947 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is survived by; his best friend and wife Dale Currie who were married on August 6, 1966, his two sons; John Currie (Maria) and Scott Currie (Lora) and four grandchildren; Michael Currie, Robbie Currie, Sara Currie and Tyler Currie. Wayne loved his family and his family loved him.
Wayne enjoyed many hobbies and activities like; sports, both playing and coaching baseball, travelling and spending time in Arizona. He really enjoyed being the projectionist at the drive-in theatre. He was an avid reader (mostly westerns and non-fiction) as well as an outdoorsman. Wayne enjoyed hunting at camp and fishing the ‘goon. Camp, which Wayne dubbed “the farm”, always held a special place in his heart.
Wayne made sure to be there for his grandchildren by supporting and attending their activities. He was well known for his sense of humour and his practical jokes and was always there for his friends and neighbours to give a helping hand.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. As per Wayne’s wishes there will be no service.
Interment of ashes will take place at a later date.
