Sandy Beach Park in Dryden has been closed until further notice.
Manager of Public Works Blake Poole says the closure is due to the intense winds that hit the park and Sandy Beach Road this week and is a precautionary measure.
The high winds caused a large number of trees to be blown over and limbs down.
Poole says the City requires time to clean up the mess and address safety concerns with the condition of the existing trees and branches.
