The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has agreed on Sioux North High School as the name of the new school in Sioux Lookout.
Trustees approved the name Tuesday night.
Director of Education Sean Monteith says the name has already been well received.
Monteith says the name does a great job representing both Sioux Lookout and the surrounding area.
The school, which will replace Queen Elizabeth High School, is scheduled to be open in time for the 2018 school year.
The Warriors nickname will be kept.
