William Joseph Walmsley
May 5, 1953 – November 2, 2016
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Grand father and friend.
Willie is survived by his daughter Melody Walmsley, sons William Walmsley Jr (Raedawn Kushner) and Andrew Walmsley (Jasmine Adams). Nephews Alan Walmsley (Barb Lands), Edward Walmsley (Rita Meshake), Fred Walmsley Jr., Howard (Trapper) Walmsley and Alvin Walmsley. Also by his grandchildren Ryan Walmsley, Kennedy-lee Fadden, Peyton Fadden, Brayden Kaiser Walmsley, Ryder Walmsley, Jeremy Walmsley, Dylan Walmsley, Arianna Walmsley, Jason St. Amour and Emery Adams-Wabonge. Numerous nieces and nephews and his puppies Relic, Gizmo, and Super Girl.
Willie is predeceased by his mother Janette Walmsley (Cantin) and father James Walmsley. Brothers Fred Walmsley Sr., Andrew Walmsley, James (Babes) Walmsley and Bruno Walmsley. Sister Louise Walmsley. Grandson Kato William Walmsley and niece Penny Walmsley.
Willie’s hobbies include Hunting, Fishing, Ice Fishing, caring for his chickens and Sports. He was a devoted Habs Fan.
Willie loved his friends and enjoyed spending time with them. His family meant the most to him. Truly a gentle soul that will never be forgotten.
Visitation will take place on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 10 a.m. until time of service at the Wabigoon First Nation Community Hall. A Traditional Service will take place on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Wabigoon First Nation Community Hall with a Native Elder officiating. Interment will follow in the Dyment Cemetery.
