In loving memory of Betty Rob (nee Saari) who passed away peacefully on June 24, 2016 in Princess Court.
Betty is survived by her loving husband Harry, sons Marten and Paul (Tammy) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Betty was predeceased by her mother Hilda, father Lauri, her brothers Arvid (Marion) and Eino (Val).
Betty was born on the Upper Falls Road in March of 1926. Growing up, her family moved around a lot, until Betty and her Aunt purchased property on the Red Lake Road. Betty and Harry met while taking care of their aging family members. So their dates in their early courting days were going to the laundromat to do their laundry. They got married in 1963 and moved to the Dairy Farm in Quibell where they lived and spent most of their days there together.
Betty was always happiest when she was feeding and caring for loved ones and her animals.
The family would like to thank all the care givers and nurses who took care of Betty in Princess Court and the hospital.
A funeral service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 2 pm at the Dryden Community Funeral Home’s Chapel with Harry Toews officiating. Lunch will follow the service at the Happy Go Lucky Seniors Centre in Vermilion Bay.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Chance Pet Network through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Avenue, Dryden, ON, P8N 2X3.
