A candle-light vigil was held Wednesday night to honour and pray for the nine people that were killed in a house fire in Pikangikum First Nation late Tuesday night.
Mourners continue to try and deal with the loss of what is reported to be three children and six adults.
Trauma teams are in the remote community to help residents.
Reports indicate all of the victims were from the same family.
Provincial Police say they are continuing their investigation into the tragic fire with support from the regional coroner and the Ontario Fire Marshals Office.
Meantime, the president of the Ontario Native Firefighters Society is calling for an inquest into fatal fires in Canada’s indigenous communities.
Steve Nolan says he wants to see the issue examined more closely.
