The Ministry of Natural Resources is starting to wind down operations outside the province.
Most of the crews fighting large fires in the western States have returned home.
The MNR still has 18-staff in Idaho and 15-personnel in Montana.
It’s also providing support with four water bombers and two Birddog aircraft.
The MNR continues to supply equipment to Alberta, B.C., and Saskatchewan.
The forest fire hazard in northwestern Ontario remains moderate to high.
There was one new fire reported Wednesday, a small 0.1-hectare lightning blaze smouldering on a steep ridge about 25-kilometres northeast of Dryden in the Hodgins Lake area.
The MNR warns smoke from raging fires in western Canada and the U.S. may drift into the area in the coming days.
