A recruiting campaign is currently underway to find more Canadians who are interested in joining the RCMP.
They’re looking for honest people who have a desire to work hard.
Constable Isabelle Beaulieu says they are hoping to encourage more women to join the force.
The RCMP is looking to increase its ratio of female officers from 21% to 30%.
Beaulieu says women offer a different perspective on policing and also have a different approach into resolving problems and developing relationships in the communities they serve.
However, there is also a need for male and aboriginal officers.
