Dryden is excited about the future now that both levels of government have come on board with financial support to improve and expand the City’s water infrastructure.
The province and feds have announced $1.3-million in funding to twin the main raw water intake pipe.
Mayor Craig Nuttall says the funding will ensure healthy and safe drinking water.
Nuttall adds it will also help in possible growth to residential areas with the availability of two water lines.
He’s thanking the relationship between Provincial and Federal Minister’s Michael Gravelle and Greg Rickford for making the project possible.
Nuttall notes the City has budgeted for the remaining portion of the expansion.
