With great sadness, on Friday, February 12, 2010 Dianne Landry passed away peacefully in her home, with her family by her side. As she wished, Dianne was lovingly cared for at home by her children, her brother Dale Bartlett and wife Kathy, as well as, her life-long friend Rose Marginet.
Dianne is survived by her mother Gertie Simpson-Parkes (Albert), her children Michael Kirwan (Carol), Rosemary Valdock( Thane), Nancy Langlais (Bruno Ricci), Sandra Langlais (Enzo Benvenuto), Dan Kirwan (Angela), her brother Dale Bartlett (Kathy), her grandchildren Kallie, Travis, Jordan, Shane, Christopher, Blaire, Kyle, Ashton, Jaymi, Dalton, Shayna-Rae, great-grandchildren Kennedy, Taylor, Claire, Carter , Kaelen and step-children Ken Landry, Kelly Landry (Cindy), Sharon Hauff (Tim) and Michael Landry (Leah).
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Dianne was predeceased by her first husband Bob Kirwan, her father Jack Bartlett, step-father Sidney Simpson, grandson Cody and husband Bert Landry.
Dianne was a wonderful mother and grandmother who worked diligently caring for her family at all times. She loved to camp, fish, garden, do crafts, sing and play instruments. She also attended her grandchildren’s sporting events whether it was hockey or horseback riding, but most of all she loved to cook for her family, especially bringing them together for Sunday supper.
With strength and dignity Dianne fought a two year battle of cancer. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Dianne Frances Landry will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Full Gospel Church with Velma Henderson officiating.
Interment of ashes will be held at the Dryden Cemetery at a later date.
If friends so desire donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society through the Dryden Community Funeral Home.
